Testosterone is a hormone produced by our body. Testosterone is mainly produced in men by testicles. It helps in building muscles, stimulates bone mass, it also promotes sperm production & men’s sex drive.
One of the common signs of low testosterone level is age. Testosterone production reduces with age, according to a research 2 out of 10 men older than 60 years has low testosterone level.
Testosterone level is measured through a blood test named as serum testosterone test. A normal testosterone reading falls somewhere between 300-1000 nanograms per deciliter (ng/DL).
